Two comparisons: what each vendor charges against the best price the hospital already pays another vendor for the same item, and what was invoiced against the contract on file. Flags need a gap above 5% (cross-vendor) or 2% (contract) and more than $300 a year. Item pairing: stand-in from the generator until the AI matching step runs.
